Cleaning a Computer

The EM radiation of a computer attracts dust like a magnet and we humans are prone to eating crumbly snacks while using them, so our desktop buddies will need the occasional cleaning.  From Consumer Reports, some tips on cleaning it up...

The Display -- Use a soft, damp, lint-free cloth and a non-ammonia glass cleaner.  Ammonia will harm the plastics.

The Keyboard -- Use the dusting brush with your vacuum.  You may be tempted to simply flip the keyboard upside down to get the crumbs out, but don't.  The crumbs could interfere with the key switches.

The CPU -- Use the vacuum (again with the dusting brush) to suck the dust away from the ventilation fan, intake ducts, USB ports and other ports.
