E-Cycling

One of the reasons I started this blog was so I could share good information about recycling, especially when it comes to electronics.  I feel that too many old computers, TVs and DVDs are ending up in landfills when they could be put to better use.  In Hampton Roads, we have two great options for e-cycling.  Both are convenient and, even better, they're free.

Best Buy -- The nations largest electronics retail chain is also one of its largest e-cyclers.  They take just about anything:  computers, monitors, TVs, CD players, mp3 players, cell phones, A/V cables, DVDs and more.  Best Buys e-cycling page

Goodwill Industries -- Goodwill will take your old computer, regardless of its age or condition.  Technicians will check the computer to see if it can be resold in a Goodwill store.  If it can't be salvaged, the computer will be recycled by Dell at no charge.  To find a Goodwill location where you can donate an old computer or peripheral, click here.
